PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Talk about crap! Each semester I give my students a survey just to get to know a little something about them. Things like, how do you describe your math skills (Excellent, good, fair, I need help), what they would like to do in life.
Anything else they would like me to know about them. This is often a great thing. Some say, "I need to sit up front because I can't see from the back, r, I don't hear good" etc.
What is more amazing is the ones (especially females) who identify as the opposite sex, but don't tell my parents. When talking to they just use "Mary" (or whatever their name is) and not John.

That's good. But I think that's it all on how you present things that sets the stage?
