I feel that there is a difference between expressing anger (Communicating the issue, why you this has made you angry, how the problem might be remedied) and throwing a hissy-fit. Too many people throw hissy-fits, anymore, much like any other emotion that no longer has communication attached to it. Look at the letters that even the simplest of folk wrote 70+ years ago (such as War letters home, Civil War letters, etc) and you see the degradation of intelligent converse.

You're right, there are constructive ways to deal with anger...it is a great source of "fuel" for useful action but many people just lash out and use anger as a justification for bad behavior

I agree that holding anger is not healthy, but the way anger is released can also cause harm to the individual who holds it. People need to find a way to release that anger in a non harmful way, each person is different.

Absolutely true. In the past several years we've encouraged people to "express their anger" and the results have not been good...time for a review of that.

Expressing anger vs expressing a solution to an issue/problem are TWO quite different communications approaches. When politicians cannot control themselves, how can they remotely fain the need for the public to act with cooler heads? LEADERSHIP by EXAMPLE!

If politicians want "...domestic tranquility..." to "...promote the general welfare..." to "...provide for the common defense..." then politicians need to LEAD. Else, >350M+ may regardless of background come together to "...peaceably assemble..." to vote them out of officer so that "We the people..." can get on with working together in our COMMON HUMANITY to form that dream of "...a more perfect union..." so that we can have "...liberty..." and "...justice..." for "...ALL...!"

Just saying....................

Lt Col Charlie Brown - agreed ... one simply has to pay attention to how much "road rage" that has been going on and increasing.

Control your anger. Not the easiest thing to do. But a very worthwhile thing to work on and every little bit of progress is very good.
