Lt Col Charlie Brown Until they get the problem resolved this is the right thing to do. We don't need our military people dying needlessly due to crashes from an issue the government knows exists.

Let us stop and think for a moment. The C130 fleet has over 100,000 flight hours [actually I believe it have close to triple that]. During the deployments and combat missions, many maintenance inspections were deferred and cut short. Instead of an "Iso" inspection, a 60-day inspection may have been accomplished. This discovery, though serious, highlights the over-worked fleet. This Lockheed marvel will need some TLC in the coming months. Many other overlooked items will need to be updated [or changed out]. The fleet will need about 18-months to cycle through the inspections and correct defects. The military can only get so much out of fleet before it starts to show wear and tear plus age.
