I celebrate New Hampshire independence and ponder the irony as we have gone from the original concept of "these united states" to "The United States", a condition which I believe those delegates at the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia never intended. We were "and, of right, ought to be, FREE and INDEPENDENT states".

Independence Day
Everyone has a 4th of July.
We celebrate our day of I dependence in our young nation only 1 day a year. 239 years so we took on and beat the most dominant force and became a nation.

I celebrate Independence Day. It's the day commonly recognized as the day the early colonists rejected an oppressive tyrannical monarchy.
I'm not one to hold grudges or think ill of my British brothers and sisters though. They can no more affect what happened 200+ years before they were born than I can. I enjoyed the years I spent stationed in England and would love to go back sometime.
