Since he assaulted an officer he deserves the sentence whether orn not it was Jan 6th. My question is this, officers are assaulted everyday all over the nation and the criminals walk becasue they are such upstanding fine citizens...whatever. BUT he did asault an officer and that carries penalties and accountability.
