APOD: 2022 July 13 - Webb's First Deep Field

July 13th is Day Two of our backlog. The title of this APOD is "Webb's First Deep Field." Sgt (Join to see) has likely been more diligent than I have in keeping you up to date, but I offer the following additional thought: Dark matter. Do you believe in such a thing as dark matter? I admit it is a bit of a stretch...how does something unseen exist? Well, Einstein rings (gravitational lensing) are a known phenomenon. They are producing the luminous arcs we see of distant galaxies as we gaze at the constellation Volans. What else is there out there that we don't know?
