Good afternoon, Rallypoint, and welcome to the June 21st Summer Solstice edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "Analemma over Taipei." You may recall that an analemma is a diagram that shows the position of the Sun in the sky as seen from a fixed location on Earth at the same time each day. If you graph it out (or photograph the Sun in this case), a figure 8 is formed.
From left to right, you see the solar positions for the December Solstice, September Equinox, March Equinox, and June Solstice. So here's to the Winter/Summer Solstice (where ever you are).

Just a note my good friend, when I heard they canceled your participation in RP I wrote to them and concluded by asking them to remove me as well. They wrote back and said ok but it seems I still have a thread of life remaining before they pull the trigger so I guess I will stick around for as long as I am able. Great to see you back !
