We have a dearth of skilled workers. This comes of the push to send everyone to college and downgrade the usefulness of "blue collar skills"

Never thought of that issue. Bet Covid has a lot to do with it, skills of aircraft workers tend to be at the top end of blue collar workers so their ability to move on to other occupations is a lot easier.
