I have no problem with gain of function research, but only in level 4 labs. But then protocols can always not be followed. Like for the Wuhan virus(Covid). Pretty sure leaked from China level 4 lab just outside Wuhan. The low paid and low esteem incinerator operators snuck some contaminated boats out and sold them in Wuhan market. To get extra money since they are low paid and low on the chinese caste system. Pretty sure at our level 4 labs we do gain of function. The biggest issue is allowing this outside a level 4 lab.
