Climate is always changing. The sun's output isn't steady, the planet wobbles on its axel, so many things impact it including volcanoes.

The chemistry of climate change is simple. Carbon compounds absorb infra-red radiation and release this energy in the form of heat (I'm a chemistry professor these days). It is happening. That said, most of what I read and hear strikes me as hysterical. Every rainstorm has the potential to cause a catastrophic flood, but we don't worry about the rain in the same way. There is so much money to be made in being hysterical. Cui bono?
