When you have a rash of suicides someone needs to start looking at the leadership. There is no reason to have a string of people kill themselves and they cannot be explained. I have seen soldiers who killed themselves over dear John letters and videos. Any military person taking their own life is a tragedy. And the Chief of the Navy says there is nothing they can do to help the sailors. So, the sailors just need to "suck it up" basically. Well, that's the wrong dam answer Master Chief. You have sailors killing themselves. Something is wrong. And as a leader it is your job to find it and fix it. Not compare them to Marines in Fox Holes. BTW they are called fighting positions. I am sure the leadership is living well while the lower ranks are sucking it up on some shitty boat (ship). I hope these sailors remember how not to behave when they get to higher ranks. Not sure why but on the enlisted side 90% of the chief rank and above I have met are assholes and think the sun rises and sets on them.

I agree MSG Greg Kelly I posted about this about a week ago and I said, living in a construction zone for months on end makes people crazy, they need to get everyone except a rotating security detail off of that ship. And I would have done it months ago...there is no good reason for this except for money and laziness on the part of senior staff. Shame on all of them.

Seems strange that something like this wasn't set up on a rotational basis when the ship first went into drydock. Granted some crew needs to be aboard, but not all for all the time.
