Good mofrning, Rallypoint, and welcome to a two-fer two-fer edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). April 27th kicks it off with "Moon Shadow on Jupiter." The Juno spacecraft caught the shadow of the Jovian moon Ganymede as it passed between the Sun and Jupiter in February of this year. If you come across any imagery between South America and Antarctica from tonight (April 30th), you'll see a similar sight: the first solar eclipse of 2022 here on Earth. Most of us (myself included) will have to let the satellites take care of this one.
