Why India has not condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine

It is a surprize that anyone would expect otherwise. India was long effectively a Russian client state. During the 80s, 70s, 60s from the time we cleared the north end of the Malacca Strait into the Indian Ocean as far south as Diego Garcia the Indian Navy challenged us with all the gusto the Russian Navy challenged us with in the Med.
