I have never understood how someone thinks they are boycotting something by destroying a product that they already purchased.
Chanel already got their money when they bought those bags...so they really don't likely care that they cut them up. I don't see how that "disrespects" Chanel. They're literally just cutting up their own property at this point and making zero dent against Chanel.
It's like people who burned Nike gear they had already bought as a 'boycott" or similar things. You're not hurting a company if you destroy items you already purchased.
