One of the many reasons I don't go Boston bars, the guys they have out front are always trying to be tough guys.

Never had a problem when I went to bars in Boston, but then again I never really interacted with the bouncers either.

I never personally had the problem but I have def seen it. Plus I know some people who worked the door and always thought "You're exactly the reason why this city's nightlife gets a bad rap."

I went to one or two bars when I first arrived in Boston. My boss (retired Captain in the Coast Guard) warned me about the bar scene in Boston. So, I never went to another one in that town. If I had a drink, it was usually while I was eating food and not at a place that sold alcohol only. I loved Boston for all the history that is there and had some great restaurants to eat at.

Would be interesting to know more facts about the incident. I know us jugheads can get a little cocky when drinking. Has me wondering if it might be a case of self defense. Although I do agree some bouncers like to think of themselves as tough guys.

I agree. I'm not saying it isn't possible bouncer wasn't defending themself. However, based on past experience my gut tells me regardless of the circumstance, this probably didn't need to escalate and end the way it did.

MSgt (Join to see) - More info came out. Apparently the guy got rejected from entering, walked away and then was chased down by the bouncer, hit with a metal bottle and then stabbed in the chest. Now being held without bail.
