"Cages crudely welded to the top of Russian tank turrets are further evidence of the country’s unpreparedness for war, analysts have said.
The apparently ineffective modifications have been spotted on destroyed Russian armour on Ukrainian battlefields. While intended as an extra layer of defence from rocket attacks, they add weight to tanks, make them easier to spot and give crews a false sense of security, according to military experts."
"The cages are an example of “field-expedient” armour — items such as sandbags and large wooden beams attached to the exterior of vehicles by their operators during conflict. If built correctly, cages can prove effective against enemy fire such as rocket-propelled grenades, but not against Nlaw and Javelin anti-tank missiles."

Even this article in the OP says they're useless.

Except there are journalists actually there who are seeing that these hodge/podge cages aren't working so...yeah. Also how the f* would I know what your MOS is?
It's not hard to get a hold of any TM/FM/or any military regulation. They are all publicly available.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff I know they are publically available and the weakness of the javelin. Can be discerned by reading it on dfas.army.mil you are stating the obvious.. Which doesn't give you leverage over anything

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff I you read what I said... You need to put a solar blanket over it for the thing to work. I love how you make baseless assumptions on the things I say.

Thanks for the share and the spring thaw is coming soon. Should be challenging for the aggressor.
