A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Fukushima in northern Japan on Wednesday evening, triggering a tsunami advisory and plunging more than 2 million homes in the Tokyo area into darkness.
The region is part of northern Japan that was devastated by a deadly 9.0 quake and tsunami 11 years ago that also caused nuclear plant meltdowns.

first experience with an earthquake was at Camp Zama, Japan. When the coat rack of the orderly room started skipping across the room, it caught my attention.

"workers found no abnormalities at the site, which was in the process of being decommissioned" Wow. That's a statement. The entire Fukushima sites has been "abnormal" 11 years. Unless something has changed there was no way to remediate, and effectively handle the contaminated water so it could be decommissioned.
