The lack of an emergency limits the emergency powers of a President.
As does the Constitution, which has been repeatedly raped throughout our nation's history, in the name of "emergencies.". To include, but definitely not limited to, the COVID "emergency."
In reality, the President has ZERO emergency powers, unless - and only for as long as - Congress delegates those powers.

While I support the idea, in theory, it's a bit late. Pretty much everyone, to include DC, has eased COVID restrictions. The more conservative states have gotten rid of them entirely. Aside from vaccine mandates, which are themselves rare, there are VERY few government mandates for COVID still in place - and none (that I am aware of) at the federal level.

Agree. The Ukraine and basement level polls caused changes that kind of stole their thunder. But, as we push our moho around, fueling at truck stops, the chatter is that the hodgepodge relaxing of mandates etc. in a perverse way burdens long haul drivers. Sorta like taking your carry with you on multistate trips. Here OK, there not.
