(03 01 22) Nord Stream 2 AG, the Swiss company behind the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, has reportedly filed for bankruptcy and also fired over 100 workers as a consequence of a barrage of economic sanctions imposed by Western nations in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Last week, the United States reimposed sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in response to Russia's offensive in Ukraine. Sanctions had originally been imposed during the Trump administration in 2019, but were lifted by the new administration, in May 2021. (
