Yes, there is always the question of transmission, that and the fact that wind will always be an intermittent energy source.

Frequency = Poles x Speed÷ 120
You would need a constant wind speed to have a constant 60 hertz AC power. A complex system of pitch or torque control would have to be installed. If the wind is calm, no power is produced.
