It’s no secret that Evangelical Christians are terrified of the Deconstruction movement. First of all, they have no idea why it’s happening, and they have no clue how to stop it, and the best they can think of in response is to demonize the entire process, create strawmen arguments to counter it, and use as much fear and misinformation as possible to ensure the few people left in the pews don’t get too curious about it and start asking questions themselves.

I agree. The leaders of megachurches are living quite well. When politicians look for tax money, they seem to always go after smokers and drinkers. Sin Tax.

Christianity has survived far harsher attacks than deconstruction. The Communist it’s in Russia failed as did Hitler and the communist in China. Nothing new here.

lol It is not eating away at the heart of anything. It causes a person to look at what they have been taught and to re-evaluate it. It's not turning people from Christ but rather it is allowing them to cut through the fire and brimstone and in a lot of cases causes people to become more spiritual, more faithful as what they discover is more profound and meaningful as the person mutes the person giving the sermon and reflects on what is written in the texts and what that means versus what someone says it means.

Capt Gregory Prickett - The Apostle Paul had those working with in the Church to undermine the Church. Back about 50 years ago there was the “ historical Jesus “ movement that sought to separate Jesus from miracles etc. Thomas Jefferson had a Bible he cut out what he didn’t view as real. This is nothing new. There have always been false teachers in the Church.
