They ran out of the only anesthetic I am not allergic to...had to do the entire procedure without pain meds.

I was always hard to get numb for dental work. Then one dentist tried a new "experimental" French anesthetic on me. The stuff worked..all too well. My right side from my jaw down to my waist was almost paralyzed for over 3 hours. I was drooling like an idiot and could barely walk. I had to call my unit to send a jeep for me, since I was in no condition to drive. Thank you, doctor..

It was no wonder that all my soldiers were laughing about this, they had never seen "the LT" under the influence like that. That stuff was powerful! It was like being half-frozen for several hours.
