Unfortunately, Ivermectin is an already-existing low-cost drug, so it won't bring in a bunch of revenue even if widely used. I have no problem with any pharmaceutical company making a profit, it costs a LOT of money to bring innovative new drugs to market. But likewise, I think if there's an existing drug that helps people, then pharmaceutical companies should not be allowed to impede their use to help save people. Patient welfare and survival should be the primary goal, not corporate balance sheets.

My eyesight was saved because my retinal specialist made innovative use of an existing drug that was originally developed to fight a form of cancer. And it worked - I still read about 20/35 off the eye chart with my right eye, which is less than a 3% outcome for the condition we're fighting. So, I strongly favor less restrictions on innovative use of new and existing drugs.
