How to prepare for a big rent increase

We are preparing by leaving the area. Our rent will be going up a minimum of 20% at the end of our current lease. Actually, the wording was "to match market". And the market around us has gone up 150%! What used to rent for $2000 is now $5000 in our neighborhood.
