Censorship is censorship is censorship. In a free society it has no place for anyone of the age of majority.

While it's true that of the many sources of information we have available are largely for-profit they engage in various forms of censorship. That in and of itself does not make them evil or bad. The thing that make them both of those is the blatant misrepresentation they practice by passing themselves off as news organizations and journalists.

As a free society, we depend on factual information to make informed opinions for ourselves. Just like a court of law, we rely on The-Truth, The-Whole-Truth and Nothing-But-The-Truth in context and as fully known as possible. Anything less is not journalism. It is many other things... Propaganda is at the top of the list as is (as General Norman Schwarzkopf called it) "Bovine Scatology".

We, as a society, have largely been left to dig out our own news. The institution we called a Free-Press no longer exists. Only time will tell if it can ever be resurrected.

What is called journalism today is not what most in our country think of journalism. Stories do not require at least 3 independent source, many times it has been proven to have been made up by the only source or even the journalist. We will never see quality reporting again.

The good thing is that YoUTube is no longer the only game in town. Rumble is good and doesn't censor legitimate (or even illegitimate) comment. I know there are several other similar platforms, but I don't remember the names of them.
