I think the military has many legitimate avenues of redress of grievances, including one's chain of command, mentors, chaplains, physicians, former commanders, etc. Going public with internal military issues is not in keeping with the finest traditions of the military and could easily be considered "conduct unbecoming." Loyalty is the number one military value for a reason. On the other hand, one of the most excruciating decisions a military member would ever have to make is whether or not to follow and order you felt was unlawful. The military says you may NOT follow and unlawful order - or, if you do follow it, must use a legitimate avenue of redress.
