Air Force fires colonel who berated subordinates for following safety protocols

As well they should. I never, ever said anything but positive comments to people following the safety rules.

I don’t know what arragance, insecurity or depression allowed the colonel to breach personal honor and professional ethics, sadly it does not matter. It takes only one such action to wipe out one’s ability to lead and can well and justifiably lead to an OTH discharge. I knew a LTC(P) who was removed from the COL promotion list due to a similar goof. Good man, up to that point a good officer but for whatever reason yielded to temptation. Tragic but necessary.
