I am going to get my hopefully final Covid booster (at least for the year lo) and my yearly flu shot today.

Going to schedule my flu shot...too soon for a booster for COVID if I decide I want one.

I was at the VA for an appointment a few weeks ago and they were giving all COVID and flu shots in a drive through. i thought, "what the hell," and got my flu shot earlier than I ever have before. My usual annual check-in is in January so I'd always been getting mine late before.

There most likely will be an uptick in the flu this year compared to last year. There are two major factors. First, last year there was a huge decrease in human interaction. People were staying home and avoiding direct contact with people. And there was a huge uptick with washing/sanitizing your hands. Second, COVID numbers were over inflated. Flu was being under reported or reported as COVID. Hence the lower numbers.

Getting our Covid Booster Monday and, since they offered it, getting flu shot at the same time rather than waiting until late Nov when it will be available to retirees on base.
