While this settlement can't removed the pain that the woman suffered at the hands of the arresting officers, there definitely is no need of over powering elderly members of society, especially for such a minor mistake Chief CW4 Guy Butler , how would those arresting officers feel if their mothers or grandmothers were treated that way.

The celebration reminds me of people who condone cruelty. This begs to be asked, they crossed a line, when will they cross the line again?

Garner’s June 2020 arrest, which left her with a fractured and dislocated shoulder, initially made national headlines after bodycam footage showed the arresting officers’ actions. The department again found themselves in the spotlight just days later when surveillance footage from inside the station appeared to show several officers watching footage of the arrest and fist-bumping after discussing the audible “pop” of Garner’s dislocated shoulder.

this is totally unacceptable. I just don't understand why anyone would 1. need to overpower someone like this and 2. celebrate injuring that person.
