Since July, vaccination centers in Germany are nowhere near as busy as they were when the campaign kicked off in the spring. At the same time, Germany still needs at least five million vaccinations to make it safely through the fall. Around 190,000 jabs are administered every day – the figure needs to be three times as many.
More than 60 percent of the population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but the pace of inoculations has slowed in recent weeks. To get things back on track, Berlin authorities have enlisted the help of the public transport system – inviting people to get on the vaccine train!
