Texas just gave a blueprint to any state that wan't to restrict any legally recognized Constitutional right.
I can see something like California making a similar law restricts all sale, trading or giving away of guns and ammunition and lets private citizens or organizations to sue gun shops, people driving people to gun shops, private people selling guns, you name it. Guns shops will quickly get sued out of existence in California.
Hell, they don't even have to make gun ownership illegal, they just have to make it so guns and ammunition can't be easily bought or sold without getting sued and then wait.
