That's exactly right and why we are having so much trouble tamping this down. Even the best vaccines don't compare with getting the disease.

I agree that immunity gained from fighting off the disease produces stronger antibodies than is gained by receiving a vaccine. But I'm 71+ years old with heart disease, and getting COVID 19 might well kill me. There is also no doubt that wearing a multi-layer cloth mask retards the spread of the disease by cutting down on aerosol droplets sprayed into the air from exhalation, yelling, sneezing, coughing, etc. All of my physicians have told me to get the first vaccine I could, and I don't think they are engaged in some plot to take over the world or kill me. I am disappointed that the public health response to COVID 19 has become such a political issue.
