For the same reason he didn't want a bipartisan committee investigating. He knows members of his Caucus were complicit to some degree of provocating the mob that breached the building. Some members may not have committed a crime but they still encouraged the criminal behavior directly or indirectly.

It's called privacy. Unless you have search warrants and real reasons to go through people's records. And for the record, that hasn't been true in recent history. Made up evidence to get a warrant doesn't count.

Lt Col Charlie Brown I'm sure you meant subpoena and not search warrant. Neither are violation of privacy since both require probable cause to obtain. Unlike the GOP led Texas law that threatens a woman's right to privacy with her doctor.
