Dee Snider has been flying the flag for metal and hard rock for more than 40 years, and he’s never been one to hold his opinions to himself. The Twisted Sister singer, who is vaccinated but recently contracted COVID-19, has a message to unvaccinated concertgoers: “You don’t have a right to infect me.”
Heavy Consequence recently caught up with Snider video Zoom, and in Part 1 of our interview, he chatted with us about his new solo album, Leave a Scar, and told us why Gene Simmons needs to stop saying “rock is dead.”
In Part 2 (watch above), the veteran vocalist told us why he’s not afraid to share his strong opinions on various social issues, despite knowing that he may lose some fans along the way.

The fact that he was vaccinated and got it means that vaccination isn't a guarantee (nothing in life is) and he could have been infected by someone else who had been vaccinated.

My wife's elderly aunt is a homebody, very seldom went out let alone now during the pandemic. She went out in March and April to get her shots. She has food delivered to door, it sits for 30 minutes then brings it in with gloves and washes it all, puts away. But last month she contracted Covid, spent 3 weeks in the hospital. Not one person had come over, so where did it come from?
Second story. My daughter and husband two kids moved to Great Falls, MT after Labor Day last year. They rented a place, he took a job at a new car dealership. Daughter and husband got the shots in June/July. Around Thanksgiving, My daughter got sick, tested positive. Her husband and kids were even sicker. She tested positive, the others did not. His boss said if you test positive I'll pay you to be off as he was under probation before benefits kick in. They all retested, daughter still positive, the other three not. He went back to work sniffles and all. They all got over it.
