But then "biblical mark of the beast?" Are you serious or are you joking? You know that isn't real right? The Bible isn't meant to be taken literally. If you wanna believe in a book that has unicorns, dragons, etc, that's on you but...wow. That's a new one for not getting it. But at this point, your choices are get it or get out of the Army so...

It doesn't expedite any kind of contact tracing.
What are they going to do test only the unvaccinated people in the group when the entire group would and should be tested? And what happens when none of the unvaccinated are identified as being positive and only the vaccinated are the ones that are positive?
The Army should no better than this.

Exactly. It would make more sense to pitch this as a visual indicator of vaccine status. Contact tracing? That would be done at the unit level where there would be a full sheet of everybody's vaccine status and as you pointed out everybody should be tested regardless of vaccine status anyway. There's no shortage of tests.
The only difference would be quarantine and I'm pretty sure the same admin people setting that up would have access to that handy sheet. Unless they are supposed to just run around looking at everybody's wrist instead?
