We use it by injection in our alpacas - 1cc per 100 lbs. - once each year and it works for what it is designed to do. I would not even think seriously about using it on humans.

I've heard several people already refer to what they think of as a proper dose using terms like "just a bit" "a small dab every day". Not at all appropriate. For one thing the dose has to be calculated based on HUMAN dosages. You can't just extrapolate the 1,000 lb horse dose to a 150 lb horse dose and call it good. The dosage will need to be calculated by considering the % of ivermectin in the given tube of dewormer and the desired mg/kg of ivermectin which is another failure point for people(many Americans don't math or metric well). It then needs to be measured correctly using something like a small calibrated oral syringe. Not something people are likely to have sitting in their kitchen. Lots of possible failure points.

There are people experimenting with it that are actually qualified to recommend dosages(on an experimental basis!) and they have. Very exact dosages and frequency. It does not need to be taken every day either.

These are the people encouraging ivermectin along with correct dosing information. https://covid19criticalcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/FLCCC-Alliance-I-MASKplus-Protocol-ENGLISH.pdf

I cannot support limiting farmers access to ivermectin just because some fools are poisoning themselves. Especially since even the poison control center admits that the vast majority of the calls were minor side effects. Ivermectin is normally sold very cheaply and requiring a vets time or even a prescription would exponentially increase the cost. Many livestock farmers are running on low margins to begin with. They don't need to suffer another blow due to Covid.

I know feed stores around me have taken it behind the counters(if it wasn't already there) and are questioning people to make sure it is truly for livestock.
