Food prices rose again last month by 0.7%, according to the latest consumer price index, released yesterday. That may not sound like a lot, but it adds up. Over the past year, prices for groceries and other food prepared at home increased 2.6%. Groceries have been on an upward trend all year, and these steady price increases may be the new reality. “We’re going to continue to see price increases, probably for the next two years or so,” said Phil Lempert, an analyst and food trends expert known as the Supermarket Guru.

Have been thinking the same thing. Especially on produce and meats, both of which can be preserved. Course not everyone has the capability to do this.

Food prices have joined housing and fuel prices to jump, all because Sleepy Joe was declared the winner. And now the dollar may be replaced with the IMF international currency. That should really be fun! Anyone for crypto?

I got in with BTC & ETH a couple of months ago. Both are already up about 30 pct. The’re good alternatives to gold in my view. At least they can’t be manipulated by politicians, so far. SSG Samuel Kermon
