After reading it, I am more horrified than ever. However, thinking about it some more, if they allow him to retire, his wife and children will have access to his retirement pay and benefits while he serves his jail time.

While that is true, Ma'am, had he been a SSG, the Army wouldn't have given two shits about his family - he would be an E1 making big rocks into little rocks.

PO1 Tony Holland How do they explain an honorable retirement when the event, although off duty, happened during his service? And they don't seem to want to pursue? So just get him gone, and he isn't our problem anymore is now the answer I guess. I understand the offenses could be PTSD related, fair enough, but they still happened and he still needs to be held accountable. And why is it all of these Senior Officers? Yesterday we were discussing the USAF Colonel. All of these problems are so hard to digest.

I get why the Army is doing this I guess. To protect his family but the Army gives this guy an Honorable but does not want to deal with soldiers who refuse the Covid vaccine. If soldiers do not want the shot let them out. Its not a dis-honorable thing to refuse an untested unapproved vaccine.
