Fort Drum helicopters to train over Adirondacks in August

Better to fly in August than in winter over the Adirondacks! You don't want an emergency landing that deep in the forest with that unpleasant weather!

SSG Robert Mark Odom The Adirondacks are in New York State as is Fort Drum. Are New York based helicopters expected to conduct training flights at NTC in CA?

I would love to see more money moved to training, and some of the "perks" given to GO/FO removed to help pay for it. It has stated several times that we have more GO/FO than we did during WWII and the army is much smaller now.
