Pelosi hand picked the guy. He did not do a very good job in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina so you should expect slop with this investigation. Starting the investigation with his personal statement of bias and pre-judgement. FBI and Dept of Justice had to finish his job in New Orleans via convictions and prison sentences for various city officials.

Read further, SFC Michael Hasbun - "It's my personal opinion that the executive branch was complicit in the planning and the delayed response that occurred in bringing in more federal assistance to the Capitol that day," Honoré said during an MSNBC appearance, underscoring that he HAD NOT reached this conclusion from the security review he spearheaded.

It's his opinion, not fact. Doesn't matter who he is. Doesn't matter who appointed him.

SFC (Join to see) - You do realize that all Sureme Court rulings are judicial opinions, right? I understand that this is not a court ruling, but rather, a learned opinion. I'll accept his opinion over some random talking head any day.

Others are opining as if what he stated was founded in fact when ge clearly states it had nothing to do with the evidence presented in the security review he led and was strictly his opinion. Legal opinions are, at a minimum supported by, if not based in, fact. His opinion is conjecture and he stated as much. Would you accept an expert witness telling the court “there’s no evidence supporting his guilt, but my opinion is he’s guilty anyway.”? Even people not smart enough to get out of jury duty would accept that as expert testimony. SPC John Smith

Y'all don't have a clue as to how funny you look, do you? All your ranting and raving puts P.T. Barnum to shame. There was no insurrection. President Trump incited no one. Don't believe me. Get your head out of your collective asses and look at the evidence. President Trump's speech on 6 January 2021 was recorded in its entirety. There were even any pitchforks and torches let alone firearms. If that was an insurrection, it was the lamest in history. But even lamer is your unrelenting pissing and moaning. Give it a rest and grow up...

CWO3 (Join to see) - Chief what are bad optics are a sitting POTUS who makes very stupid remarks about AR015's agains Nukes and Jet fighters. what makes for bad optics is a POTUS that can't speak without and ear bud named in his ear to repeat a scripts as he bulbs and gets lost in thought. Biden in office is a mistake that will further degrade this nation, He can't hold a question and answer session without getting lost and he is the CINC? Jimmy Carter WAS one of teh worst Presidents in recent history, then Bumbling Barry won that tittle, Slow Joe has set the the new Bar and easily make Barry look 100 times better now.

Did you neglect to click on the "[See More]", CWO3 (Join to see)?
Google "Niven's Law" and you'll be rewarded with a minor trove of pithy truisms, including the one I quoted about causes attracting fuggheads.
Addendum: Another personal favorite is "Never throw shit at an armed man. Never stand next to someone who is throwing shit at an armed man." I made sure my sons committed that one to memory.

Also, just to be clear, no act of God was required, just a crowd large enough to include a critical mass of intellectually incestuous folks dedicated to "doing something," CWO3 (Join to see).
Add in the leadership impact of any agent provocateur (internal or external) and it's not at all incredible to see the angriest and loudest (and most violence-prone) 1 percent of a crowd sucker another 10 percent into committing misdemeanors which have been federalized as felonies, especially when the police chiefs with local jurisdiction have been discouraged from providing even the minimally necessary crowd-control presence beyond staffing a zero-depth security perimeter.
While it would potentially be very informative, I don't expect to see any intense public grilling of the then-serving Senate and House Sergeants at Arms about their command decisions the first week of this year, given how discreetly they were replaced back in March and April.

SPC Erich Guenther - How was LtGen in the Chain of Command of New Orleans elected officials? Under what authority could he have removed the corrupt Mayor? The NO Public Safety Director at the time was a retired USMC Colonel, and recipient of Navy Cross from Viet Nam. In NO politics, even he had little influence, so how would Gen. Honore?

Capt Gregory Prickett - Seriously...not being a smart ass just don't know the answer. If he wasn't with Trump or any of his folks and witnessed it first hand and it is speculating, how can it not be hearsay. Or could it be speculation on his part?
