Others are opining as if what he stated was founded in fact when ge clearly states it had nothing to do with the evidence presented in the security review he led and was strictly his opinion. Legal opinions are, at a minimum supported by, if not based in, fact. His opinion is conjecture and he stated as much. Would you accept an expert witness telling the court “there’s no evidence supporting his guilt, but my opinion is he’s guilty anyway.”? Add in the leadership impact of any agent provocateur (internal or external) and it's not at all incredible to see the angriest and loudest (and most violence-prone) 1 percent of a crowd sucker another 10 percent into committing misdemeanors which have been federalized as felonies, especially when the police chiefs with local jurisdiction have been discouraged from providing even the minimally necessary crowd-control presence beyond staffing a zero-depth security perimeter.
While it would potentially be very informative, I don't expect to see any intense public grilling of the then-serving Senate and House Sergeants at Arms about their command decisions the first week of this year, given how discreetly they were replaced back in March and April.

The NO Public Safety Director at the time was a retired USMC Colonel, and recipient of Navy Cross from Viet Nam. In NO politics, even he had little influence, so how would Gen. Honore?

Hearsay? Really? The Lt Gen. was hired to do the review of the security. The man has the credibility therefore a SME.
