I learned so much from that class that I didn't even know I was learning at the time.

When I was twelve I had to stand before a Federal Judge and formally declare my permanent allegiance to this nation and forswear any allegiance to my birth nation, Libya. I learned American Citizenship that day. Never regretted it. Continued to learn more about it since then first in school, then the Marines, and still learning.

It didn't make sense at the time, it still doesn't. Great Constitution, bad actors trying to bastardize it. We had a course in Jr HS on Kentucky History, which was more inclusive than Civics, with a textbook and all. I excelled at recess.
