The Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines will likely provide protection against the coronavirus for years if it doesn't evolve significantly, a small new study suggests.
As a massive vaccination effort continues to play out across the globe, there is still a question about how protective COVID-19 vaccines will be in the long term and whether booster shots will be necessary. Some vaccines for other viruses, such as influenza, provide only fleeting protection and need to be renewed every year, but others — such as the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella — confer lifelong protection.

I just wish the government would stop using it as a controlling mechanism.

The government isn't really using it as a controlling mechanism at this point. Some individual states still are. Until we get a decent amount of immunity down south and national we still have to keep our guard up. The delta variant is here spreading. I'm not saying be scared of it but I am saying with we allow it to mutate to a more transmissible form we can't blame anyone but ourselves.

SPC Mark Huddleston I'll respect your opinion but they haven't not in my state of PA or my city of Philadelphia. I still wear a mask indoors. They aren't checking vaccine status so regardless if your vaccinated or not you can still go out your day as you did before the pandemic. Certain businesses still enforce makes others don't.

The constant vacillation by key government officials created an environment of fear. Fear is a tool used by tyrants to seize control through cognitive behavior modification. It's easy to see the fear, just watch any "karen" video on social media; their fear makes them irrationally hysterical.

"Pfizer and Moderna vaccines may provide years of protection" but only for those who haven't died or developed permanent injury due to a non-localized, mRNA shot which is breaking through the blood-brain barrier.
