I suspect that the most harrowing battle of any war is the one you die in. Personally, after studying many battles in many wars, I wouldn't presume to rank them

SFC Sczymanski J. - If not for the first trauma, there is not second trauma. I am conducting research of combat trauma dating back to WW Two. War is a profound expression of insanity.

I've read many accounts of this area, some were in a couple of American Legion Magazines, one bloody area to be in and not all that hospitable during winter months Lt Col Charlie Brown

MacArthur placed too much faith in his G-2 who was ineffective at times, in both WW II and Korea. He ignored some intelligence that indicated the Chinese had crossed the Yalu.

MacArthur placed too much faith in himself, LTC John Griscom.
It's been a while since I first read then-MAJ Garrett's analysis of the initial battles of Korea, but I highly recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in the subject. (That obviously includes you, Lt Col Charlie Brown)
