Any well trained military person knows that bump stocks are toys. Something fun to play with. We don't "spray and play". At least not in the Marine Corps. Single shot or 3 round burst is the most we use (not counting your suppressing fire to build kill lanes). If you really want the weapon to trigger your finger (the action of a bump stock) there are many ways to do it without the bump stock. Useless in an urban fight.

Also three round burst don't empty the magazine as quickly either or heat the barrel as quickly either. In close quarters there are some good reasons not to empty the magazine too quickly and Your very survival seems to be at the top of the list. Magazine changes should only take seconds but seconds may count.

I agree, but this isn't about bump-stocks, it's about the ATF probing to see what they can get away with next. They are already targeting pistol-braces, which are very useful. A pistol-brace DOES allow an AR-pistol to be shot with one hand.

We should just keep all our comments about what we have or don’t have, silent. That way there should not be much the complainers would know, to complain about.
