This is a truly dangerous thing to do and you might also forget you have it there and leave it in the car!

Just as bad as leaving a baby/kid in the car

The only time I ever leave my gun in my vehicle is when I have to go into a facility where I can't have my gun on me, ie, gun-free zones.

Most gun free zones I bypass. The ones I can't that have a metal detectors is where I hide my gun under the seat and lock the car up. Thats usually in a garage connected to a federal or state building or Airport where they have security roaming the garage.

I agree and always carry on my person. Positive Control of the weapon is something learned in the military and is something I do not think I need to 'get over it'.
