The Authoritarian Instincts of Police Unions

Being in a police union myself for several years, and also being the union rep dealing with the administration, the first sentence of article is completely ludicrous. And it gets worse from here.
"Due process is a privilege reserved for the righteous - ..." The author apparently has zero understanding on the American justice system and why it works the way it does. Due process is NOT a privilege, but a right that everyone should have. Even the people you despise, which the author here, clearly despises cops.
I didn't even bother reading the rest of the article. It's utter garbage.
