Why was it banned/shunned here in the US? Oh yea, I forgot, Trump said something good about it and "the science" said there was zero proof.

That's fantastic news, lets keep rubbing it in Faucci's face that Trump was right, and on a second note Hydroxychoroquine worked great in Vietnam to ward off Malaria also.
