US Air Force’s newest refueling tanker to get gear allowing F-35 and F-22 to share data

This is great news...better than most people understand. As a Tanker pilot who later became responsible for all USAF Tactical Data Link requirements, this article does my heart good. To see the F-22 (IFDL) and the F-35 (MADL) data links finally able to share information using their uniquely capable sensor suites, we can "see and act" in ways our adversaries are not ready for. We first demonstrated the ability to bridge IFDL with Link 16 back in 2008, in a Joint Expeditionary Force Exercise (JEFX).
