Fungi and Puffballs on Mars (evidence of growth and behavior)
I found this science video quite intriguing as this fungi appears to be some sort of living entity...(That's my view as when you watch the video in FULL SCREEN ON THE LARGEST AVAILABLE SCREEN YOU HAVE and see the changes in size of the Fungi and Puffballs, and the movement of the martian soil, it seems like it is growing... NOTE: that there is a link source near the bottom of my post and if you copy and paste it into a clean URL line on your browser, it will take you to the "Abstract" analysis... I am very interested in your take (opinion) on this if you care to share a comment or three with everyone...
Here is the description by NASA:
On May 7, 2021 in Advances in Microbiology Journal published article with evidence of growth and behavior of Fungi and Puffballs on Mars as possible life on Red Planet by series of images from Opportunity Rover. Link to the article is located below. There is deep scientific analysis of different images of Mars from Opportunity Rover to describe mushrooms on Red Planet. There are Martian specimens approximately 3-8 mm in size resembling Puffballs (Basidiomycota), some with stalks or shedding white spore-like material (leprose) and lower cup, and universal veil that covers embryonic fungi (crustose).
Photographed by Opportunity on Sol 257. Fungi thrive in radiation intense environments. Sequential photos document that fungus-like Martian specimens emerge from the soil and increase in size, including those resembling puffballs (Basidiomycota). After obliteration of spherical specimens by the rover wheels, new sphericals--some with stalks--appeared atop the crests of old tracks.
