MSgt Dave Hoffman - i never said the 2nd amendment had requirements for that. the 2nd also has no wording about machine guns. does that mean any joe blow should be able to own an M-60? or an RPG? or how about an Abrams? they have "arms" on them. suggesting that having grips, custom or otherwise, serial numbered is just ludicrous. do grips make a firearm function? no.

SFC Randy Hellenbrand - shouldn't that be "takes care" of dues? like buying multi-million dollar houses for the ceo. or bribing legislators to vote their way?

MSgt Dave Hoffman - how about the PACs? they are essentially legal bribery. and the nra has strayed so far from it's origins it isn't even recognizable anymore

Like most things in government it takes a not-so-bad proposal of serializing parts that could then be turned into un-marked guns possessed by people who cannot legally possess guns and turns it into a monster that could be twisted to restrict legitimate business.
I'm in favor of all receivers being marked. I'm not in favor of the ATF being allowed to arbitrarily decide if a gun design gets to go forward or not. Politics suck.
